As A Writing Tool
Instructional blogging lends itself well to being a writing tool. This is perhaps its most obvious and most observed use. One instructor, however, expanded on blogging as a writing tool. "Formal writing," he said, "fosters reflection." By giving assignments that students compose on their blogs, students can reflect on course material and engage in a higher level of thought.
