Biographical Sketch

As a Sr. Consultant in the LTC, Stuart's assignment draws upon his 30+ years of experience with information technology. His job involves exploring emerging technologies and evaluating their value to UA instruction. He is the LTC' lead on podcasting, the UA on iTunes U, instructional blogging and the UA's YouTube channel. He is also available to develop websites for faculty members to feature resources such as their syllabi, UA instruction, academic c.v. and publications. Beginning in fall 2007, he is leading the LTC's Production Services group which includes Web Services and Media Services.

Stuart is available for consulting on creating websites and working with the software used to maintain them. More information on podcasting, instructional blogging and faculty websites can be found on his website.

Background & Education

Stuart holds a B.A. in History and an M.A. in Modern European History from the University of Cincinnati and an M.S. in Library & Information Science from Indiana University.

He created and continues to develop the Through Our Parents' Eyes: History & Culture of Southern Arizona project. Stuart has also held numerous regional and national association positions, has been a regular contributor to the professional literature and speaker at professional meetings.

He is an adjunct faculty member for the University of Arizona School of Information Resources & Library Science (see Instruction), has taught courses for Pima Community College (PCC), and conducted professional development workshops on information technologies for PCC.
